About US

Founded in 2004, Philly Philms offers high-definition video production and editing services across the tri-state, specializing in corporate and non-profit video production.

With over 40 years of combined experience in the industry, we’re not just good story tellers; we’re a company that knows how to develop, produce and deliver. Our first priority at Philly Philms is to get to know our clients on a granular level to fully understand their needs, objectives and goals. We approach every production as more than a business transaction, but rather a collaborative partnership with our clients to powerfully bring their message to life through video.  Whether it’s a corporate or non-profit marketing video, a broadcast venture or a reality-based production, we always strive to use creativity, authenticity, and humor as we bridge life – Reel to Real.

How it all started...

Philly Philms was founded by Mikaelyn Austin and Rob Marcolina in 2004 when the dynamic duo embarked on a mission to bring the rich history of college basketball’s most historic arena to the big screen. In 2007, their award-winning feature-length documentary, “The Palestra: Cathedral of Basketball,” narrated by the late great Harry Kalas, celebrated regional, national and international distribution on ESPN, PBS and Comcast SportsNet. Shortly after that, Philly Philms released two more feature-length sports documentaries that also reached broadcast distribution and their passion for authentic story telling was born.
